Albany State University Head Women’s Basketball Coach Todd Triplett has announced the promotion of Yasmine Fairchild to full-time Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach, effective April 13, 2026.

Fairchild, a proud Albany State alumna and former student-athlete, joined the Golden Rams staff during the 2025–26 season in a part-time role and has quickly established herself as a rising coach with strong ties to the program. A native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, she earned her degree in Health and Human Performance and has plans to pursue her master’s degree.

During her undergraduate career, Fairchild was actively involved in the athletics department, volunteering for numerous events and consistently demonstrating the work ethic, professionalism, and team-first mindset that reflect the values of Albany State Athletics.

As a part-time assistant coach, Fairchild helped Triplett guide the Lady Golden Rams to a 16–12 record, the program’s best finish since 2017–18, and a berth in the SIAC semifinals.

“Yasmine has earned this opportunity,” said Triplett. “She understands what it means to be a Golden Ram and brings energy, reliability, and a strong work ethic to our program every day. Her ability to connect with our student-athletes and contribute to our culture makes her a valuable part of what we’re building.”

In her expanded role, Fairchild will assist with player development, recruiting, game preparation, and overall program operations as the Golden Rams continue to build on their recent momentum.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue growing at Albany State,” said Fairchild. “This program means a lot to me, and I’m excited to help our student-athletes develop on and off the court. Coach Triplett has created a culture that pushes us to be our best, and I’m proud to be a part of it.”

Fairchild’s promotion reflects Albany State’s commitment to identifying and elevating talented coaches who align with the program’s vision and values.
